Alex Scullion - Managing Director
Alex has over 40 years experience in the electrical installation industry and has worked for many existing clients throughout those 40 years. Experience of heavy industrial installations and maintenance to small domestic work has been the key to the development of the company. Alex has been involved in company management since 1976.
Alex is involved in community-based organisations such as Local Business Clubs, YMCA and Hetton Town Trust. He is a governor of Houghton Kepier School and was a director of Business Link Tyne & Wear before it was absorbed into Business Link North East.
Alex Scullion Electrical are working towards achieving the IIP Standard.
Keith Flynn - Director (Technical and contract management)
Keith has 20 years experience in electrical contracting. He began his career with Sunderland Forge as an apprentice electrician and went on to qualify as an approved electrician. ‘The Forge’ was recognised as an excellent training ground for electrical tradesmen and produced many highly skilled people that have gone on to senior positions in major organisations. Keith’s knowledge and skill has proved invaluable to the growth of the company and he ensures a continual process of quality review and improvement.
Keith works closely with our clients and is an NICEIC Qualified Supervisor, which is a requirement of accreditation with the National Inspection Council.
Colin Walden - Director (Financial and management control systems)

Colin has 30 years experience in accounting and financial management. From his initial training as a public accountant he moved on to develop his skills in the private sector and has served as a director of several service sector companies.
Colin has 20 years experience in the development and implementation of computer based business tools for SME’s and large corporations. He operated his own IT consultancy and applications development business and was project manager for an international software house.
Colin's financial and IT expertise has assisted the growth and stability of many companies. He was a senior consultant for the successful ‘Make it Grow’ project that The University of Sunderland initiated to help SME’s to adopt computer based systems for their company development. This introduced Colin to Alex Scullion Electrical and his relationship with the company led to his becoming a director in 2003.
Andy Harper - Management Team
Andy joined the company as an electrician. His experience in all types of electrical work has proved to be a great asset. He has been involved in our central heating control installations service and progressed to site management. He currently liaises with our clients and installation teams to ensure timely completion of installations as well as producing the records and certification that are important to quality control.
Andy is a qualified electrical installation inspector and is also an NICEIC Qualified Supervisor.
Cynthia
Morrison - Office Support Team
Cynthia has seen the company grow from strength to strength since she joined in 1999. Her previous experience in office environments allowed her to fill many of the day-to-day office roles.
From bookkeeping to job management, from allocating resource to installations and dealing with clients, Cynthia has been involved. Her knowledge and understanding of our heating control installation clients is a vital part of our operation.
Karen Sahm - Office Support Team
Karen has been with us since 2001. The job was a complete change of direction from her previous employment in the retail sector.
From dealing with face-to-face customer service, Karen has adapted to telephone contact with them. She has gained an understanding of the challenges of a service operator and has a methodical approach to her varied role.
