to ensure that the client's electrical contractor is aware of their requirements.
This could be meeting on site during the installation or carrying out sample inspections of their completed installations. Any issues with the installations would be discussed with the contractor to achieve the specified quality.
Electrical Regulations require that installations are inspected and tested periodically to ensure that they are safe. A periodic inspection will also highlight any areas that need to be upgraded to comply with changes in requirements for electrical installations.
Typically, older installations may need earthing and revisions to the consumer unit (fusebox).
